He's like the newest and best version of Mr. Potato Head.

We don't usually celebrate Earth Day.  I mean really everyday is Earth Day.  We are called to be good stewards of all that God has given us.

However, the homeschooled kids we know have a little book club.  This meeting they learned about Earth Day and we joined in.  It is ok to have a reminder that we need to not pollute, reuse and recycle.

And of course reusing is one of our favorites around here at Ford Country.

We went out back to the shed where I knew there would be plenty of rusty nuts and bolts.  The kids thought this was awesome.

We gave them a good wash!

Same with the tin cans.

Brought everything in and made a mess of the table.

Cut up pieces of magnets and glued them to the bolts, nuts, washers and everything else.

Now it's like a Mr. Potato Head except metal and rusty.  You can make faces and interchange the pieces.  Throw all the pieces inside the can for storage.
